The S.O.S. Behavioral Observation System© is used  to insure that employees “behave” in the manner agreed upon, once a JSA has been completed and the job begins.

Observations are made based on the same ten-point memory system used to complete the JSA. In short, employees search for hazards during the JSA process by using the S.O.S. Ten-Point Memory System©, they determine the correct “behavior” to minimize or eliminate these hazards, and are taught   how to observe other employees during the performance of their jobs by using the same S.O.S. Ten-Point Memory System©.

The uniqueness of the S.O.S. Behavioral Observation System© is that it ties together the JSA Process and the Behavioral Observation Process. Prior to this, a company would use the JSA Process as one activity, and the Observation Process as a separate activity.
